FAQ

Bon à savoir

How do I use DNS Propagation Checker?

1. Enter the hostname: Use an ASCII or punycode hostname without a scheme or path. 2. Choose the record type: Compare A, AAAA, MX, NS, TXT, CNAME or CAA answers from Google and Cloudflare. 3. Read each response: Review values, TTLs and errors independently. Different answers do not automatically mean propagation failed.

Is this a worldwide check?

No. The server queries Google and Cloudflare public DNS over HTTPS. Their anycast services do not represent specific countries or every resolver.

Does agreement prove propagation is complete?

No. Other resolvers, local caches and geographic routing can differ. Matching TTLs are not required for record values to match.

How is my hostname used?

The hostname is sent to the two named public DNS services. Your website is not fetched and its DNS is not changed.
