Free No sign-up Runs in your browser

PNG conversion stays on your device. Photos are not uploaded.

Up to 20 files, 25 MiB each and 100 MiB per batch. Images above 40 megapixels are rejected.

PNG photos are often much larger than HEIC. Only the first image is exported; Live Photo motion, depth data and original metadata are not preserved.

Need JPG instead? Convert HEIC to JPG.

PNG files appear here after conversion.

Common uses

  • Prepare iPhone photos for an editor that accepts PNG
  • Share still photos with someone who cannot open HEIC
  • Export several HEIC photos without uploading them

How it works

How to use HEIC to PNG Converter

Select your iPhone photos

Choose HEIC or HEIF originals from your device. A renamed JPG is still a JPG and cannot be treated as HEIC.

Turn the photos into PNGs

Start the conversion and let the browser work through your batch. The decoder loads on first use; your photos stay on your device.

Check the results and download

Review the file sizes, then download individual PNGs or a ZIP. Keep your HEIC originals if you need their metadata, depth information or other images.

How do I use HEIC to PNG Converter?

Should I choose PNG or JPG for my HEIC photos?

PNG avoids another lossy encoding step but usually creates much bigger photos. JPG is often more convenient for sharing or uploading where file size matters. Neither recreates detail missing from the original.

Does PNG preserve Live Photos, HDR and EXIF?

This tool exports the first decoded image as a standard PNG. Motion, depth maps and original EXIF are not retained, and HDR or wide-gamut colours may look different. Keep the originals.

Why will some HEIC photos not convert?

HEIF can contain different codecs and image features. The browser decoder cannot read every variant, damaged file or very large photo. Try exporting that photo as JPG from your device instead.
