FAQ

Good to know

How do I use FAQ Schema Generator?

1. Enter questions and answers: Put each question on its own line with the answer below it, and leave a blank line between pairs. 2. Generate FAQPage JSON-LD: Create a FAQPage script with one Question and acceptedAnswer for every pair, in the order you entered. 3. Publish and test: Add the script to the page that shows the same questions and answers, then check it with Google Rich Results Test.

Will Google show my FAQ as a rich result?

Usually not. Since 2023 Google shows FAQ rich results only for well-known, authoritative government and health websites. Valid markup still describes the page clearly to search engines.

Do the questions have to be visible on the page?

Yes. Mark up only questions and answers that visitors can read on the same page. Use FAQPage when each question has one answer written by you, not for forums or advertising.

Can answers contain links or formatting?

Yes. Basic HTML such as links, lists and bold text is kept as answer text. Angle brackets are escaped, so the output cannot end the script tag early.
