How it works

How to use HTML Table to CSV Converter

Paste table HTML

Copy a table element or HTML source containing a table. Up to 1 MB is accepted. Scripts, images and styles are never loaded from the pasted input.

Select the table and formula protection

Choose the top-level table number. Formula protection is on by default and prefixes risky spreadsheet values with an apostrophe; turn it off only when exact raw values are needed.

Download and check the CSV

Review row and column counts, then copy or download the quoted UTF-8 CSV. Downloads include a byte order mark for spreadsheet compatibility. Check the import settings in your spreadsheet application.

How do I use HTML Table to CSV Converter?

How are merged cells exported?

The first cell keeps the text and covered cells become empty CSV fields. Explicit positive rowspan and colspan values are expanded within the table bounds. Nested tables, overlapping spans and rowspan="0" are rejected rather than guessed.

Are links, images or formatting retained?

No. The converter extracts plain cell text and collapses whitespace. It excludes scripts and styles, and does not export link destinations, image alt text, CSS layout or tables generated later by JavaScript.

What are the conversion limits?

The selected table may contain up to 1,000 rows, 100 columns and 50,000 cells after merged cells are expanded. The tool stops on unsupported layouts. Formula protection changes risky values and is a precaution, not a guarantee for every spreadsheet program.
