Frequently asked questions
How do I use RGB to HEX?
1. Enter Red, Green and Blue values: Type a whole number from 0 to 255 in each of the Red, Green and Blue fields. The form starts with 14, 139 and 120 as an example. 2. Press Run RGB to HEX: The three values are sent to the GigaTools server, which turns them into a six-digit hexadecimal code. 3. Copy the HEX code: The result shows a colour swatch next to the code in capital letters, such as #0E8B78. Use the Copy button to take it into your CSS or design file.
What format is the result?
A # followed by six uppercase hexadecimal digits, two each for red, green and blue, shown next to a small preview swatch.
What happens with a value above 255 or below 0?
The form only accepts 0 to 255. If a value outside that range still reaches the server, it is clamped to the nearest limit, and decimals are cut to whole numbers.
Can it convert transparency or alpha values?
No. The tool works with the three colour channels only and always returns a six-digit code without an alpha part.
Where are my values processed?
The numbers are sent to the GigaTools server for the conversion and returned on the same page. No third-party service is involved and no security check is needed.
