Frequently asked questions
How do I use Dice Roller?
1. Choose your dice: Tap a quick die from d4 to d100, or set the number of dice, the sides and a modifier. 2. Roll: Press Roll the dice, or type notation such as 2d6+3 and press Roll. For a d20 you can roll with advantage or disadvantage. 3. Read the result: See each die, the total with the modifier and your last ten rolls.
Are the rolls really random?
Yes. Each roll uses your browser’s secure random generator with a method that keeps every face exactly equally likely.
What does 2d6+3 mean?
Roll two six-sided dice, add them up and add 3. The first number is how many dice, the number after d is the sides, and the last part is the modifier.
How do advantage and disadvantage work?
With one die, usually a d20, the tool rolls twice and keeps the higher roll for advantage or the lower roll for disadvantage, and shows the dropped roll.
How many dice can I roll?
Up to 100 dice at once, each with 2 to 1,000 sides, and a modifier from −1,000 to 1,000.
