How do I use Keyword Density Checker?

How is density calculated?
The number of keyword occurrences is divided by the total word count and multiplied by 100. Words are counted as runs of characters between spaces, and a multi-word phrase counts once per appearance.
Does it match whole words only?
No. Matching ignores capital letters but looks for the exact character sequence, so seo is also counted inside seoul. Variants such as plurals are counted only when they contain the keyword as typed.
Is there an ideal keyword density?
The tool does not set a target or score the result. Use the percentage to spot obvious overuse, and write for readers rather than for a fixed figure.
Where is my text processed?
The keyword and content are submitted to the GigaTools server, which counts the matches and sends the figures back. They are not passed to any other service, and the result page is marked private and not indexed.
