How do I use Password Strength Checker?

How is strength scored?
Entropy is estimated as length × log2(pool size). The pool adds 26 for lowercase letters, 26 for uppercase, 10 for digits and 33 if any other character is used. It is not a zxcvbn-style analysis.
What do the ratings mean?
Below 40 bits is Weak, 40 to 59 is Fair, 60 to 79 is Strong and 80 or more is Very strong.
Does it detect dictionary words or patterns?
No. It only counts length and character types, so a predictable password such as Password123! can still score well. Treat the result as an upper estimate.
Is my password sent to the server?
No. The check runs entirely in your browser with JavaScript, and the password never leaves your device. Even so, test a password similar to the one you use rather than the real one.
