Frequently asked questions

How do I use SEO Checker?

1. Enter the URL of the page to check: Paste the full address of the page you want to check, such as a blog post or product page. A bare domain like example.com checks the homepage. 2. Add a target keyword (optional): Type the search phrase the page should rank for. The checker then tests whether it appears in the title, H1, meta description, URL and opening text. 3. Run the SEO check and fix the top issues: Read your score, then work through Fix these first, which lists the failed checks with the biggest impact. Fix them and run the check again.

What does this SEO checker test?

It runs 19 on-page checks: indexing (noindex), page title, meta description, H1, HTTPS, canonical tag, mobile viewport, content length, image alt text, internal links, structured data, heading order, language, Open Graph tags, redirects, HTML size, URL length, character set and favicon. With a target keyword it adds six keyword checks.

How is the SEO score calculated?

Each check has a weight based on its impact. Indexing, the page title, the meta description and the H1 weigh most; the favicon and URL length weigh least. The score is the share of that weight your page passes, from 0 to 100.

Is this website SEO checker free?

Yes, it is free with no sign-up. To keep it fast for everyone there is a daily limit per visitor, and an invisible security check runs when you start a check.

Does it check my whole website?

No. It checks one page at a time, as a search engine first reads it, without running JavaScript. Check your most important pages one by one, and use the Website Launch Audit for robots.txt, the sitemap and security headers.

Why do other SEO checkers give a different score?

Every tool uses its own checks and weights, and some run JavaScript first. Treat the findings as a list of things to review: a high score does not guarantee a top position on Google.
