Frequently asked questions

How do I use Backlink Maker?

1. Enter the target URL: Type the full address the link should point to in the Target URL field. 2. Add the link text: Write the clickable words in the Link text field, then run the tool. 3. Copy the snippet: Copy the generated <a> tag from the Link snippet box and paste it into your page, post or email template.

Does this tool create backlinks for my site?

No. It only writes one HTML link tag from your URL and text. Nothing is published or submitted anywhere; a backlink exists only once another site places the code on its own page.

Why does the link include rel="nofollow"?

The snippet always adds rel="nofollow", which asks search engines not to pass ranking credit through the link. Remove it yourself for an editorial link you vouch for, or change it to rel="sponsored" for a paid placement.

Does it check that the target URL works?

No. Characters that are not allowed in URLs are removed, but the address is never visited. Open the link yourself before you publish it.

Is my URL stored?

The URL and link text are sent to the GigaTools server, which builds the snippet and returns it. No page is fetched and the tool does not save your input.
