Frequently asked questions
How do I use Keyword Search Review?
1. Enter a keyword and domain: Type the search phrase in Keyword and your site in Your domain, for example example.com. Any protocol or path is removed. 2. Run the search review: The GigaTools server fetches the DuckDuckGo results page for the keyword and looks for your domain in the result links. 3. Check Google and Bing yourself: Read the approximate DuckDuckGo position, then use the Google and Bing buttons to scan up to 30 results in your own browser.
Does this check my Google ranking?
No. Only DuckDuckGo is checked automatically. The Google and Bing buttons open normal searches in your browser, and what you see there depends on your location, language and search history.
How reliable is the DuckDuckGo position?
It is a best-effort match from one results page fetched by the server: the first result link that contains your domain text counts. If DuckDuckGo blocks the request or changes its page, no position is shown.
Is rank history tracked?
No. Each run is a one-off check and nothing is saved. For real average positions in Google, use the Performance report in Google Search Console for sites you own.
What is sent where?
Your keyword and domain go to the GigaTools server, which requests DuckDuckGo results for the keyword only. Runs pass a security check and count toward a daily per-IP limit, and the result is not saved.
