Frequently asked questions

How do I use YouTube Keywords Extractor?

1. Copy the video text: Copy a video title, its description or both, from YouTube or from your own draft. 2. Paste and extract: Paste the text into Video title or description and press Run YouTube Keywords Extractor. 3. Pick useful keywords: Review the hashtags and frequent words in the result and keep the ones that really describe your video.

Does it fetch data from YouTube?

No. It does not connect to YouTube and cannot read a video’s hidden tags. It works only with the text you paste.

How are the keywords chosen?

Hashtags in the text are listed first. They are followed by up to 12 of the most frequent words longer than three letters, leaving out a short list of common English words such as “with” and “your”.

Does it show search volume or rankings?

No. The list reflects only how often words appear in your text. It gives no search volume, competition or ranking data, so judge the relevance of each keyword yourself.

Where is my text processed?

The text is submitted to the GigaTools server, which extracts the keywords and sends them back. It is not passed to YouTube or any other service, and the result page is marked private and not indexed.
