Frequently asked questions

How do I use Domain Setup Signals?

1. Enter a domain or URL: Type a domain such as example.com or a full address into Public URL; https:// is added if you leave it out. 2. Run the setup checks: The GigaTools server resolves DNS, contacts the site and looks for a title, meta description, robots.txt and sitemap.xml. 3. Fix what is missing: Read how many setup checks passed and work through each row marked as a warning.

Does this tool show a Domain Authority score?

No. Despite the page address, it does not query Moz Domain Authority, Ahrefs Domain Rating or any link index. It reports basic setup signals and how many of them passed.

Which signals are checked?

DNS resolution, whether the site answers over HTTPS, the response time, a page title, a meta description, and whether robots.txt and sitemap.xml exist at the root of the domain. The response time is shown but not counted in the score.

Does a full score mean the site will rank well?

No. Passing these checks only shows the basics are in place. They do not measure links, content quality or search rankings.

How is my request processed?

The GigaTools server fetches the address and the two root files from the public internet. Private and local network addresses are refused, and server checks like this are protected by reCAPTCHA and a daily per-IP limit.
