How it works

How to use Open Graph Checker

Paste the page metadata

Copy the HTML head or its meta tags from your own page. Up to 1 MB and 1,000 meta tags are accepted.

Review missing and repeated properties

Check og:title, og:type, og:url and og:image. Multiple images are allowed; repeated title or URL properties need review.

Check the real social preview separately

Use the text preview to review wording. After publishing, test the actual page with the platform’s debugger to check its images and cached card.

FAQ

Good to know

How do I use Open Graph Checker?

1. Paste the page metadata: Copy the HTML head or its meta tags from your own page. Up to 1 MB and 1,000 meta tags are accepted. 2. Review missing and repeated properties: Check og:title, og:type, og:url and og:image. Multiple images are allowed; repeated title or URL properties need review. 3. Check the real social preview separately: Use the text preview to review wording. After publishing, test the actual page with the platform’s debugger to check its images and cached card.

Does this fetch my website or image?

No. It reads pasted HTML in an inert template. Scripts are not executed and images are not loaded. The preview contains text only.

Does a clean report guarantee the card will appear?

No. Platform rules, crawler access, cached metadata, image availability and other properties can change the result. This checks only a small set of supplied tags.

Are description and image alt text required properties?

The Open Graph protocol lists title, type, image and URL as basic required properties. Description is optional. Image alt text is recommended when an image is supplied. Type-specific requirements are outside this check.
